New York City is his home, and he was created by the legendary Stan Lee. It’s your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man! Without doubt, Spider-Man is one of the most iconic superhero characters of all time.
Having graced the pages of hundreds of Marvel comic books since the early 1960s, the webslinger made his live-action big film debut in the 2002 film Spider-Man. Since then, the character has appeared in a host of films, with the current version, who is played by Tom Holland, joining forces with the Avengers to take on Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
And who can forget the epic meeting of three Spider-Men in Spider-Man: No Way Home! And don’t forget Spider and his Amazing Friends. But could you really get superpowers from a radioactive spider? Could we ever climb walls like spiders? And why is spider silk one of the most extraordinary materials on the planet?
