Renowned historian and author, Noreen Higgins McHugh, PhD, MA, BEd, invites you to explore the riveting and often untold stories of the women of Cumann na mBan as detailed in her latest release, “Revolutionary Women of Tipperary, 1914–1923″. This meticulously researched book shines a light on the crucial, yet frequently overlooked, contributions of these formidable women to Ireland’s revolutionary era. Building upon her rich body of work, which includes “Tipperary’s Tithe War, 1830-1838″ (2003) and “Tracing Your Tipperary Ancestors” (2018), Higgins McHugh will discuss the compelling narrative that framed the tumultuous period of the War of Independence, the Truce, and the Civil War.

Join us here in Clonmel library at 6:30pm on Wednesday December 18th and discover the stories of indomitable women who fought for a nation, and the legacy they left behind.

This is a FREE event and no booking is required.
